Clams Land Use & Economy - Workshop: Machias Oct 28, 2014
For Code Enforcement Officers, Planning Board members and other municipal officials, this workshop provides information and tools to support landowners and municipalities protect the shellfish resources on which many in Washington County depend for food and livelihood.

Learn about:
- the significance of the shellfish industry to the region
- on-line toolboxes and information on vegetation buffers, erosion and sedimentation management, stormwater, wastewater systems
- accessing and using on-line GIS mapping tools tailored specifically to each town in Washington County
- funding opportunities to correct failing septic systems
