FEMA Offers Webinar: "Introduction to the Community Rating System" Feb 18th
Feb 18th FEMA Webinar to Introduce Local Officals to Community Rating System
The Community Rating System (CRS) provides reduced premiums for flood insurance policy holders in communities that implement programs and activities that exceed the minimum criteria for participation in the National Flood Insurance Program. If your community conducts floodplain mapping, regulatory, loss reduction, emergency management, and and/or public information activities, put this webinar in your schedule. This one-hour webinar session will introduce FEMA's Community Rating System, how it operates, the costs and benefits for communities, where to get help, and how to apply. Please note that this training is good for 1 contact hour in Shoreland Zoning or Land Use. Registration is free, but required.
