Maine DOT Seeks Public Input in Transit Forums in May & June 2015
The Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT) is hosting a series of public forums regarding general public transit service.
A recent statewide analysis of transit services compiled as part of the Maine Strategic Transit Plan 2025 indicates unmet transit needs in several communities. Maine DOT seeks to solicit ideas in order to better meet the general public transportation needs of low income individuals, the elderly, individuals with disabilities and the general public. Ideas generated at these forums affect future investment strategies for general public transit services.
These forums are scheduled for the following dates:
In May:
Monday, 11, 2-4 PM – Biddeford, City Hall
Tuesday, 12, 2-4 PM – Bath, Patten Free Library
Wednesday, 13, 2-4 PM – Lewiston, City Hall
Tuesday, 19, 3-5 PM – Mexico, Region 9 Education Center
Thursday, 21, 2-4 PM – Calais, Washington County Community College
In June:
