Online GIS Mapping Trainings

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
 
Are you interested in attending training in the online GIS mapping services available to all Washington County Towns? 
 
If you are a Town Manager, Code Enforcement Officer, Emergency Management personnel, Realtor, Town Clerk, an Assessor, or a member of the Planning Board or Select Board, this class is for you!

The Washington County Council of Governments will offer 4 trainings in April and May to cover both beginner and advanced Online GIS Mapping tools. Please register by March 18 to ensure your spot!  Space is limited; if registration exceeds computer classroom capacity we may be able to add classes.
 
Trainings will be held in Machias and Calais. Please select your choice of training location - you may attend any class in either location.

Topics to be covered include:

Beginner - Learn the basics of using the Online Parcel Maps, Planner Maps, and Storm Surge Scenarios
·      Search maps, locate parcels, change base maps and data layers, and access deed information
·      Print and share maps
·      Use the parcel viewer on a mobile device

Advanced - Learn more tools to help you take the Online Maps to a higher level of usability
·      Create an account that allows you to edit, draw, save, share, and make your maps interactive
·      Search for, add, and filter data (ArcGIS Online searches, UMM's hosted layers, and MEGIS)
