Online Survey
The Letter to Residents and Property Owners of the Washington County UT invited residents and property owners to attend any or all of three public meetings (listed above) or to provide input by an online survey.
The Letter to Residents and Property Owners of Baring and Grand Lake Stream Plantations was sent in February, 2016. It brings the Plantations into this process — with thanks to the Washington County Commissioners for financially supporting that inclusion!
Please note the survey was open for public input from October of 2015 through January of 2017 and is now closed for analysis of all input.
All survey input is summarized in Chapter 2 Collaboration and all written comments are compiled in Appendix “X” posted on the Plan Outline page.
Second Round of Public Meetings
As described in the Process Document there will be a 2nd round of public meetings in the Summer of 2016. All will be widely publicized as follows:
- A Postcard announcing these meetings was mailed to all property owners (2364 addresses) in the UT and Plantations in early July.
- A poster announcing the first meeting in Grand Lake Stream was provided to Louis Cataldo on the same date.
- Advertisements announcing the public meetings are scheduled for release in the Quoddy Tides on July 22, August 26 and September 9 and in the Calais Advertiser on July 13, July 27, August 24 and September 14.
This second round of public meetings will provide an opportunity for residents and property owners to see current zoning in their communities, hear descriptions of potential new zones, and provide an opportunity to create a vision for future growth. Meeting minutes for each meeting will be posted as they occur.
