Columbia Falls' current Comprehensive Plan was written in 2002. Since then, much has changed and a great deal more information is available about Columbia Falls. This includes the 2010 Census, the 2015 American Community Survey, a record of civic investments, new and different businesses, and all kinds of digital (no longer just paper) maps of natural resources. The 2019 Comprehensive Plan updates information on a wide-range of community issues to assess trends and establish town policies.
Ways in which Columbia Falls Community Members Can be Involved
Community members participate in the Comprehensive Plan Update process in the following ways:
- A town-wide survey sought public input on Comprehensive Plan issues (a summary of the results is posted below and all responses are viewable via this link)
- Survey questions were asked using audience polling devices at a Vision meeting September 20th.
- Draft documents of the Comprehensive Plan are posted below — public feedback is welcome!
- Contact the Town Office to connect with any member of the Planning Committee, join the committee, attend a meeting or call staff for the project: Crystal Hitchings, 546-3600.
